
Anyway, I have Chris's double shipping box, so shipping to new owner ought to go well. To what degree do I drain the S1, how, and what other advice for having a successful shipping?

Are you shipping it or transporting it yourself?
Then I wouldn't worry about the boilers as nothing "should" leak out if the reservoir & drip tray are empty and you keep it upright.
