Hi,
I am a newbie on this site and after a few research, I am ready to upgrade from a Rancilio Silvia to a S1 or S2, and I have a few questions:
1) Is there any reliable shop where I can get a S2 in the Montreal area ?
2) If I can't get the S2 (Vivaldi 2), I can get the S1 wired for 220 Volts. Does 220 Volts have any real advantage regarding temperature stability ?
3) My grinder is 7 years old Rocky still in very good condition. Do you think the La Spaziale deserves a better grinder, and would the difference be noticeable ?
Thanks
220 Volts

Looks like Caffetech http://www.caffetech.com/index.html;jse ... 87B6322868 is the Canadian distributor for Chris Coffee. No idea if there is anyone closer on your side of the border.
You would benefit from a grinder upgrade but a Rocky in good shape will certainly get you by.

Re: 220 Volts
At the very least consider getting a new set of burrs for it unless you've done that already. I replaced my Mazzer Mini-E burrs after three years. I had heard that a rule of thumb for a burr set on this class of grinder is about 500lbs. I was probably no more than half way there, but a new burr set made a big difference.kamfer wrote:Hi,
