I wanted to go the double boiler way after having a Wega Mininova. The Wega was a quite okay machine, it just needed a bit of tweaking due to the heat exchanger technology. The avaliable products soon merged to three possible models:

Johan, thanks for providing the feedback on your new machine. Just one comment on your roast. The problem does not appear to be that it is under roasted so much as it is not even. If all your beans were as dark as your darkest, you would have been fine. This could be due to several factors but is most common in a blend where some beans roast faster than others. Was this a single type of bean or a mix?

The beans were ethiopian yirgacheff only. I typically roast them in the oven in tefloncoated alumium pan. The tendensy is that the beans closest to the edge are getting more roasted than in the middle. Therefore I stir in the pan a few times during roasting.
