i saw a post on how to measure your portafilters for wood handles, but can't find it again

can somebody direct me to the post

what woods have people used for the handles 8)

I have Cocobolo, Desert Ironwood and Black Palm.
I also have an Amboynia Burl in the works and they all having matching tampers.

no; i thought i would try les at thor

i have a friend who is a woodworker, but i thought it might be easier to try someone who has done it before

any suggestions; how much were your handles 8)

I would shoot Les an email.
I think he charges about 30 bucks for handles depending what wood and so on...I can't remember exactly but that's about how much$.

I know Les gets really busy at times but trust me, the wait is well worth it.

BTW, I forgot to mention...Les already knows the sizes really well for Spaz stuff. You won't even need to measure anything, in fact you can send him your PF and he can install it for you or you can just do it yourself.

i saw from the post you sent the different measurements of the portafilter; are all of them the same these days

the quote from les is $20 - $55 perhandle, depending on the species; i'm waiting to hear back from him as to the wood he currently has available 8)

They do screw off but Spaziale glues them on. You have to grab hold of the handles and just "bust" them off, the glue should snap and release the handle with no problem after that.
