After Many, Many hours (daily over the course of several weeks) of research to help try to decide on which machine to purchase out of the three finalist; Brewtus, QM Vetrano and the Spaz, I have finally made a decision and put in an order for the V2. My first problem already; My machine, among others are waiting in a port waiting to clear Customs, Oh well.
I just wanted to say thanks to all posters; for various information posted, to help me choose this machine. I believe I made a wise choice. Time will tell.
I also wanted to give a big thanks to Chas
I had signed up to the forum, now I joined the club- Thanks

I think so.
Welcome to Spaz Land Bud, you chose...WISELY.
The Vetrano is a nice machine also, I love the E61 group and its idiosyncrasies give it a nostalgic feeling like you're still "pulling" a shot. If I had more room I'd add a Vetrano to my countertop over the Brewtus II anyday.
Like many before, we researched for hours on end and came to the same conclusion. The LaSpaz seemed like the one to pick. Sleep rest assured you made the right decision. It's amazing that because of the quality of the VII that Chris would be in a back order situation more often.
The first couple of days with my VII I was taking shots at 11pm

I'm a happy S1 chooser, even though the choice was more of an imposed one than if I lived elsewhere.
I had to get what was available to me, and that excluded all of Chris's exclusive Quick Mill models (shipped only within the EU and to the UK and other near-EU locations). Brewtus was not around. I could have gone for an ECM Giotto or some of the more automated Fiorenzato or Bezzera models.
The expense of shipping and requirement for freshness both demand that I home roast all my coffee, which means I never have a stable coffee to calibrate things. (It's hard to hit the sweet spot with just 12 oz. starting from scratch.) But I've never felt the Vivaldi was anything but reliable and cooperative.
You should be very pleased when the time comes, Bud.

Bud,
You'll be fine in 15A mode for now.
I'm having my dad's old buddy (commercial electrician) come over next weekend to install another sole breaker for this Spaz also.
I'm a strong advocate for 20A operation but if it means not getting a Spaz because of this, DON'T let this hold you back - the Spaz is a great machine even in econo mode. It just makes you really appreciate 20A when you finally convert it.
I'm really glad you joined us, keep us posted on the arrival and everything.
Don't worry about customs, they'll release the machines by at least Mon-Tues, I think...sometimes they're slow and sometimes they surprise us.
Congrats again on your VII.
One more thing...
forgot to ask, did you get the 15A model or the 20A? either way you'll be OK to run it on full 20A with the regular plug on the Nema20 socket (I think).
