I just changed out the boiler element in my S1 and replaced the gasket. The gasket was literally nothing but goo and had to be scraped off of the top of the boiler. The anti-vacuum valve was changed as well when the machine was apart.
After closing the boiler back up and powering back on I am getting a weird sort of intermittent steam leak that I cannot find. There is not any visible water anywhere but about every minute there is a brief noise and then boiler kicks back on.
Are there parts outside of the vacuum breaker that need to be cleaned / replaced? I am going to take the machine apart gain over the weekend and use a stethascope to try to find out where the leak is coming from.

Re: S1 VII. Steam noise
Are the screws that hold on the boiler lid tight enough?
