Here's a borescope video looking inside a non-working water boiler. See anything?
Boiler doesn't work/no pressure. Coffee boiler is fine. At time of failure there was metal taste from the steam wand but not the water spigot (we think). The steam wand may have its own issue since if anything I'd think the water spigot would exhibit more metal taste if the vessel is compromised? (The water output is much lower on the boiler body than the steam's output, which makes sense give where water vs steam reside.)

I checked out your borescope video, and it seems like there might be an issue with the steam wand or vessel. The metal taste from the steam wand is a concern, and you're right about the water spigot potentially having a separate issue. It could be a good idea to inspect the steam wand and check for any visible damage or deposits. Keep an eye on the water spigot as well, and if the issue persists, consider reaching out to a professional for a more in-depth diagnosis.
