Hot water tap

Getting a lot of spitting and sputtering when I use the hot water tap; probably a lot of steam mixed in with the hot water. Is this normal?

It's hard to tell if your machine is spitting more than normal w/o a video. In general, it's normal for the 2nd half of a hot water pull depending on how much water you are pulling.

That's one thing I really like about my GS/3. It has a mixing valve that allows me to mix some cold water with the hot water from the steam boiler. This allows me to get the temperature in the 180sF and, therefore, doesn't sputter.
