Flat or convex tamper for my new Dream T?

My new Dream T is on the way! I ordered it with a convex tamper since I read that the convex helps to push grinds to the side, minimizing side gaps, which can be an issue with the 53mm porta filter. Did I make the right choice or should I have bought a flat tamper? Can I nutate with a convex? Thanks!

I actually like the Reg Barber ones that are mostly flat but convex on the edges.
