Very wet steam

I had an interesting experience this morning. I made my wife a small Americano. I put about 2 oz of hot water into a 7 oz cup from the hot water dispenser. I then pulled a double shot into the cup and added another 3 oz of water from the dispenser. About 5 minutes later I pulled myself a shot and tried to bleed the water from the steam wand. Rather than dry steam, the wand generated steam that was full of water. Enough that it soaked a dishtowel that was wrapped around the steam arm. I then decided to run about 8 oz of water from the hot water dispenser after which I was able to successfully clear the steam arm. Any thoughts on what was going on?

Yes.
Your steam boiler overfilled, you'll get like 6 oz of water come out of the steam arm when this happens.
