Long Steam Arm
Long Steam Arm
Has anyone ordered and installed the longer steam arm on their Mini II. I just received mine the other day and it appears that it is only 1/2" longer than the standard, hardly worth the effort to install.
Re: Long Steam Arm
I've installed it.
As you say, it's not much longer...just long enough to make it hard to stow away over the drip tray grill.
I find the long (S5) wand is a good if you are using a 20 oz pitcher. I mostly use a 12oz pitcher for single Lattes, so I went back to the stock short arm for the better stowing.
I tried the no-burn wand too. Hated it. Too long, bad angle, bad tip (although the new 4 hole no-burn tip is better....if not a bit too slow).

Re: Long Steam Arm
Thanks, I think I'll get an RMA and swap it out for a bottomless PF since I mainly do single lattes and cappas
