Should I do something special if my MiniV is going to be inactive for a couple of weeks? (drain boilers or whatever)
Thanks.
Machine preparation for inactivity period
Re: Machine preparation for inactivity period
Whats a couple of weeks? 2? 4? Heated storage? If we are talking 2 weeks on your counter I'd just drain the reservoir & drip tray and pull the plug. When you fire it back up flush enough water through both boilers so you know it's fresh & start making coffee again.
Re: Machine preparation for inactivity period
I do the same as JohnB. Unplug and empty reservoir.
I do couple of other things as well. I do a water backflush and also remove and clean the screens and dispersion disc just to get rid of all coffee bits. I also remove the PF and store it in a drawer, just to avoid compressing the gasket unnecessarily.
