Timer
Timer
Proud new owner of the Mini, easy to set-up but having problems with the timer
Pulled the front cover off, the wire was attached on one of the pipe. Had to take the timer apart, remove the existing wire from the timer and plugged the wire from the machine to the timer and reassemble the timer.

Re: Timer
Yes, if you have the timer installed that switch has to be set to On. One other guy who got the timer and had the switch set to Off reported that, not only did the timer not work with the switch in the wrong position, but there were other unexpected side effects as well. I don't remember what they were.
Since you found the issue so fast you may not see the other issues.

Re: Timer
I found the Timer issue I was thinking of. It was the opposite issue. This person did NOT have the Timer but had the Switch set to On!

EUREKA.............My timer works like a charm.
That's not something they talk about in either manuals from the coffe machine or the timer instruction manual.
I even called Joe at caffetech and he wasen't sure about the switch thing.
Thank God for the forum..................Oh yeah thank "Chas" too.

I was just checking your location on the map. Wow. You've got to win the award for Northern-most Vivaldi. You're just a hop, skip, and a jump from the North Pole!

Yep, Santa is my neighbour.
Speaking of North, everything is flow up by jet up here & often the milk gets frozen in the belly of the plane, making my milk hard to froth.
I thought I was doing something wrong until I heard that once the milk is frozen, it changes the composition of it making it impossible to froth
Just a tidbit.
Frozenly yours. :(

Re: Timer
I'm afraid that isn't true so you might want to try a different brand if you have a choice. I buy organic whole milk whenever it goes on sale & throw it in the deep freeze. I have no problems steaming/stretching & creating micro foam. Are you using whole milk or 1%/2%?SnowDragon wrote:Yep, Santa is my neighbour.
