Taller Feet

I still wish for taller feet to be available soon in some upgrade kit. I hate having to move the machine every so many weeks to sweep up the dust, grinds and other nasties.
Please La Spaziale, think big, think TALLER feet...

I actually called Mary at Chris Coffee about this - she said that she would check with Chris to see if this would be feasible since Chris makes taller feet for the Elektra Sixties (I think). Maybe the taller feet for the Elektra would work - a machine needs tall feet if it is truly to be deemed a "commercial" machine.

Taller feet are available, at least here in the UK they are.

When i received my S1 VII it had been set up for use in a commercial setting, and it arrived with the small feet in a separate beg and the tall feet fitted.

At the moment i have the small feet fitted, but as you have mentioned it is a pain to clean under the machine so i may fit the larger ones back on.

I spoke with Steve at Hasbean and he told me that he's trying to get tall feet separately - they are included with all machines sold in the UK.

I also spoke with Trish at LaSpaziale USA - she told me that she sent an email to headquarters in Italy to see if they can get any.

I could really use these because I've installed the drain kit which drains into my kitchen sink.

Let me know if this goes anywhere, I can still use these so I can reach under the machine for easy cleaning. Although I won't be able to fit as many cups on top, I double stack some to fit over 20 cups including Cappa sizes. I'm also going to drain the drip tray out but it's a little tight under there with the midget feet.
I hope the other feet aren't stilts!
I've seen some absolutely hideously tall feet that looked like 4" bars.

They are very tall. I had forgotten how tall.

They are 8cm high and 6cm diameter at the top !!!!!!!!!!!

When the drip-tray drain is routed through a hole in the countertop beheath the machine, as mine is, a proper slope to the drain line can be achieved only by raising the machine. So anyone with the drain installed could benefit from longer legs.

I turned a quick-and-dirty set of wooden risers/extenders to put beneath the legs, but I would certainly buy a set of decent legs if they were available.

How tall would you like them to be?

Would you find wood dowels (painted black) with no taper acceptable? Black nylon could be found, but would add difficulty.

All it would take is cutting the round stock, sourcing and installing the metric hanger bolts, and presto-chango, taller legs.

The metric hanger bolts are pretty scarce, but they're out there.

I'll pull a leg off tomorrow to see if I can determine the thread size, and we can go from there.

Thanks Peter but wouldn't want you to do any work.

Be nice if I can easily fish out a stray bean now and then and practically the entire length of
the power cord is sorta being sat on by the machine. Also every time the reservoir tank is moved,
a few drops drip down the counter/power cord.

minor complaints but nothing too annoying...

I've looked thru McMaster-Carr and haven't found anything suitable yet.

My plumbed in VII didn't drain well and some height would help with getting some slope on the drain line as it runs under the machine. My quick fix has worked great. I just unscrewed the front legs about 1/4" so not the drain slopes 1/4" in about a foot. I haven't had any overflows since.
