eBay, etc..

Have you noticed how much some of this coffee related stuffs go for on eBay? I think people are nuts!
For example, I'm watching an auction for a set of Illy Cups...it's currently at $103 for a set of 2 espresso cups. Good part is for the seller, bad part is the bidders don't know you can get the same set of cups from wholelattelove for $100 delivered tax free!
....and to top it all off, the one on eBay is missing the can of Illy Coffee and the box is slightly damaged (bad for a collector).
I've seen some crazy things on eBay before and I'm wondering what some of these people are thinking.
Another FINE example is these so called collectors are selling another Illy Cup, extremely limited edition (only 1,000 cups worldwide) of Marina Abromovic Illy Mug...they're asking and getting anywhere between $150-200 for this thing. Funny thing is I bought the same exact mug from Illy for $60 after I saw this on eBay.
People are nuts.

I have always said - One day the nuts will figure it out, and I will stop making money on eBay. That was 7 years ago, and the nuts are still paying too much!!! Capitalism at it's best....

I got a 12 pack of the regular white Illy cups (6 Cap, 6 Esp) from Aabree for $65 shipped. This was much cheaper than eBay, and was brand new.

eBay is usually not my first choice for buying.
