Hi everyone.. I have been working on different espresso machines for many years now and have recently come across a Vivaldi II for very cheap that needed some attention. It worked when I got it but I think it was stored in the garage for a while because it was full of mouse poop. After extensive cleaning I have changed the steam temperature probe, the vacuum breaker, the safety valve, some wiring that looked corroded and will be replacing the diffuser, the screens (it had been set up for pods), I think this is a newer model as it has a dual gauge and an SSR but no fan or triac. My question is this.. I read somewhere that some machines came with a plastic guard to protect the electronics from the water that sprays when the vacuum breaker is sealing. I haven't been able to find anymore information about this or a part number. Anyone here know what I'm talking about? I'd like to add it if it can increase the life of the machine.. anyone have a picture of theirs or know where I can order one?
thanks
PJ

You are correct. I don't see that part in the latest parts list. You can try Chris Coffee direct or Clive Coffee if you live closer to the west coast and see what they say. There is a photo of it here: https://www.s1cafe.com/s1v2/S1vsVII.php
