I descaled my Mini twice over quarantine using Endo's method and I'm still getting knocking noises from the machine. I descaled the second time because I felt I didn't do a good job the first time around and I got noises from the boiler when initially hearing up.
This time, the noises have gotten worse and continue throughout the day, not when just heating up upon being turned on. I've attached a vid showing what happens.

Re: Loud knocking noises even after descaling
I don't know what that noise is but it doesn't sound like the kind of knocking noise that occurs when the boiler is in need of descaling. If this were the plumbed-in model, I say the capacitor on top of the rotary motor was loose. I am not sure what this noise means on a Mini. However, if you take the covers off and run it, I am pretty sure you will quickly locate the source.

Re: Loud knocking noises even after descaling
I opened up the machine and the noise is definitely coming from the steam boiler though I don't know what's causing it.
