Aside from going bottomless, any tips?
Aside from going bottomless, any tips?
This dripping is kind of annoying. I have been using the single spot with a double basket for the last week and the amount of water that's retained in the PF ends up on my counter, the grinder, my tools and the floor. I'm in the process of making a Wenge and Tigerwood tamp stand and realized it's going to end up ruined with this water dripping everywhere. Is there a way to fix this?

Thump on a tamping mat.....or go bottomless. Those are the only choices.

it's why I use the bottomless.

Dry the basket and portafilter before you fill the basket with coffee.
I run the "warming" shot(s), dump any excess water into the drip tray and then quickly dry out the basket and portafilter before filling the basket with coffee for the shot.

I've been trying to dry it out but I've been flipping and beating it and still end up with about that much that 'comes out of no where' Is this stuck to the inside side of the basket? I'll try a 45 degree wack on the tamping mat but beating up on my brand new parts is just hard to do and not feel bad.

Take the spring out and take the basket out each time - then you could get a thorough drying. If you have 2 baskets it probably wouldn't be too much hassle.

I used to have 2 baskets with my e61, now I have 2 pf's and 1 useable basket :(
