In Google, type "1.3 bar in psi".

Answer: 18.8 psi (add ambient pressure of 14.7 psi if you want psia).

How high is this? Not very. Consider a scuba tank is 3000 psi.

Thank you. Really not high pressure at all.

Very interesting. I may make a silicone steam boiler gasket to use after descaling. where I live the Spaz dealer claims it takes 2 months to order the gasket.

After reading online about silicone baking sheets being used for gasket material in high temp automotive applications I may try it. They are reusable and won't need to be scraped off the boiler.. Next silicone mouse pad could be my new gasket.

Not all silicone rubber gaskets are created equal.

The thing with silicone rubber gasket, is that they must be torqued very evenly and not too tight. Also Silicone will resist the heat but it will age and dry up when subjected to high heat for a long time. I would not think that it is a good material candidate for the application. But as a short term replacement it could work.

I found some industrial gasket grade silicone gasket sheeting to use . It is rated to withstand high temp for prolonged periods.

Thanks for your input.
