Vivaldi Power Analysis Update

Post by chas »

I've updated the Power Analysis that I did many moons ago when I still had the S1V1 to make it applicable to both S1V1 and S1V2 and to tweak the results based on more accurate measurements I made since obtaining a Kill-a-Watt device. Previously, the analysis was just located on the S1 V1 Website. It is now on both that site and the S1 VII Website. Links to both sites are at the upper right of every forum page.

Other key changes are:
- Bumped the electric rates based on how much my rates have increased since the original analysis
- Provided a sample analysis of how long it takes to "break even" on purchasing the option timer relative to electric savings compared to running 24x7. This analysis probably falls into a "so what" bucket for most folks since the reason for purchase is the convenience and the fact that you are saving electricity rather than how long the purchase back back period is.

Looks like there's no link on the v1 page and the v2 page is invalid...

Weska, you caught me in the middle of upgrading the V1 and V2 sites, which included converting them from FrontPage to PHP. So all the page names now end in php rather that html. Of course if you just click on the links at the top right of the page and use the new NAV bar and/or breadcrumbs at the top of each page you are good to go. However, if you have any pages bookmarked you'll need to update them.
