Re: S5 Steam Arm Photos
In that case let me run one more thing by you to keep a look out for. I had one of the very first S1 machines around and also the first one to upgrade one to the S5 arm. (Initially they provided the S5 arm to replace the old arm. Only later did they create a shorter S1 arm version.) Each of these m...

Re: S5 Steam Arm Photos
Hi, I'll order S5 arm which I believe is the part #7833. In Spaziale pdf's I found this part to NOT including part #7651, which seemed e necesity to me. So do we need the part #7651 ordered separately to fit an S5 arm to an S1? Or alternatively can we rotate the part #218 counter-clockwise so that t...

Oh wait!! How does volumetric dosing programming is done? I dosed no portafilter attached, I guess I have to attach portafilter loaded with grounds and measure the water inside the cup?

Re: Can't Pull the Shot
Chas, when no p/f attached I programmed the volumetric dosing as: Single shot: 30ml; double shot as 60ml. When it can't finish the shot, I de-attached the p'f and checked those values, and they are correct.

Can't Pull the Shot
Hi, I have a problem on my S1V1 but a little background first: I bought this machine second hand from the La Spaziale service in Turkey. By saying 'service', expecting something like Chris Coffee Service would be naive but nevertheless I trust them as this machine is in good shape. The problem is, I...

Why 120C on the V1's?
Hi, I wonder why there is a 110C and 120C santigrad celcius heat selection on Vivaldi V1's? Even if the water be boiled to that values underpressure, is it any good to brew coffee at that values? Any explanations?

Re: Pre-Infusion On S1 - Any Good?
Googling about the subject give me "delay on make" relays. This delay simply delays the pump for a given time and let the street pressure on your home water system does the pre-infusion. I'll be glad for any info about the subject.

Pre-Infusion On S1 - Any Good?
Hi everybody, If you want real pre-infusion, then it's better to mod your machine, so there is a delay before the pump kicks in. Allot of people have done this on rotary pump machines without any pre-infusion capabilities. the chamber doesn't do anything close to real pre-infusion. This quote is fro...

Chura, glad you are finishing your progress. One question for you. Do you absolutely need the new panel or can I use the old panel with some cutting and make-up? If I order from Chris Coffee that panel will significantly increase the shipping cost.

Hi Chas, To my surprise my unit has all the three "T" in it; being a v1, I expected to find only 2 :bounce: So, applying dual gauge will be somewhat easy. BTW, in my unit there is no cooling fans under the triacs. Does this means, somebody updated my unit? http://i.imgur.com/x1urjko.jpg
