Did a quick search on this but came up empty; was just wondering how often people cleaned their grinders - meaning hopper removal, take out the burrs, sweep it out, etc.

I single dose with my Vario, whenever I stick my face in it to smell/check my wife just stares and it smells fresh. Once in a while (monthly) I grind 16gr of grindz. Don't really bother too much more.

I cleaned my grinder one time with grindz. It just created a chalky mess.

Other then wiping my grinder down and changing the burrs once every 2 years I just leave it alone.

I clean the grinder about twice a year, but don't really see any difference in taste. I think that "old" grinds in the burr chamber tend to stay put. I use a brush on the grinder throat and doser with each shot so there is little loose and old grinds to contend with.
