How to remove portafilter handle?

On my other machines, the handle unscrewed. But on the VII it doesn't budge. I want to make one of the PFs bottomless and it'll be safer if the handle is spinning around in the lathe. How to remove the handle?

Thanks. I did a search, but didn't find this answer. This suggests that applying heat would be helpful. It softens most threadlockers.

Careful. Could be high temp thread locker. The PF routinely sees 100C and the melting point of the plastic handle is about 160C. Not much room for error.

The handle is off. I used a torch to heat the PF, not the handle. I'm almost done boring the hole in the bottom. :)
