The Mini Vivaldi now has new chrome end handles (hey...they took my suggestion!)

Now I just need the chrome front drip tray. (They can ditch the BBQ brush to recoupe the added cost. )

Any chance to obtain them in Germany? Like the look.

I got the info and picture off the Chris Coffee Facebook page.

I would assume they'll soon be selling the new PF's but I don't know if they will be selling just the handle, seperately.

Also from the CCS Facebook post (the caption for the photo Endo posted):

"Check out the new portafilters that now come with the La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi and Vivaldi II. They are not for sale separately, at this time."

That is the handle you get if you order a bottomless PF from CC. I just got one.

Bought my mini Last December and it came with those portafilters. Also got a bottomless and it came with a different plastic handle though.

Same here, I wanted to swap the dual handle over to the bottomless but those handles are on there good!

The portafilter handles are secured with a threadlocker of some type. I got mine off by constructing a wood extension as shown in the photo below. The piece of wood is split almost from one end to the other and and held tight with two bolts. I then wraped the PF handle with duct tape and put the PF into a vise with padded jaws. This provided enough leverage to break the bond and remove the original PF handle without damaging it.

I am findig myself annoyed by the new handle; the tip is chromed plastic and wiggles a little. If anyone has a triple fitting bottomless with the original handle and wants to trade, LMK.

--or I could just go LDT on my bottomless and swap its handle with one of my other portafilters.
