Mini Maintenance Kit

Here my humble maintenance kit. No Scace, no refractometer (yet). Just a hardness meter, temp gauge and scale. I like that everything fits in my pocket.

Total disolved solids (your meter) is not equivalent to hardness. If you check hard water with your meter and then run the water through a "softener" you will measure the same TDS since all you have done is to exchange hard minerals for soft ones.

Yes. I use the TDS meter for the unsoftened tap water. I use this kit for the softened water (doesn't fit in the pocket though).
