Did we all agonize over the BrewtusII-Techno-S1-GS3 trade-offs? I'd been eyeing the Techno for years. It seemd to have it all. But with its high price and no local backing (WLL now carries it), I couldn't get myself to jump. The Brewtus? Very intriguing, but I'm done with vibe pumps and having had an Isomac for 4+ years, found myself wanting something more different. I really had my heart set on the GS3 (as I'm sure some others here did). But once word came out that it'd be priced at $8K in stead of $4500, I considered it absurd. Especially since the S1 offers 95% of what the LM offers at 1/4th the cost (law of diminishing returns). So, features and cost were matched in importance only by the legendary support of Chris Coffee as the seller. This made my deciaion for me. Had he carried the Reneka in stead of the S1, that's what would be sitting on my counter. As such, I'm a VERY happy S1 VII owner with the solid support of CC up in Albany.
I was a bit surprised (read: bummed) that Chris charged me full $ for everything, with no freebies or return customer discount.
Not that there's anything wrong with that - he charges fair prices. But in the past he's made the purchase more enjoyable with some sweeteners. This time I paid the new higher price ($2,095) + all the extras. Oh well.
