Moving / Disconnecting my S1?
Moving / Disconnecting my S1?
I'm moving and prepare my S1 for the move. I believe I just need to drain the boilers, so the movers will transport it. Does anyone have a link or some instructions for how to do this? Thanks!
I moved mine last month without draining anything. I had a similar question when I was moving my Quick Mill to Chris and he said "throw it in the trunk of your car".
I don't think you need to drain the boilers if it's a local move, within 100-200 miles or so. When it goes cross-country it might be a different story.
How far are you getting it transported?

You can tell the movers that the machine requires plumbing in, therefore, there's no reservoir and no liquids to sit in it.
You can drain the steam boiler by opening plug underneath it but I wouldn't do it and the group boiler doesn't hold enough to water a daisy.
If I were you, I wouldn't let any movers even look at the machine, unless you like fixing things when you get to your new place.
