Vivaldi II / S1 hot water solenoid issue

Post by emyllymaki »

HI, I had a drippy hot water spout so I took it apart and cleaned it out. It actually seemed to make it worse :/

I installed a replacement solenoid and it has not fixed the problem at all. The dripping also continues after the machine is shut off, for a while (I'm guessing until the steam pressure level goes down?)

Not too sure what to do next- your input appreciated.

Also, fitting this replacement is odd in that the pins on it are at 180 degrees to the one it is replacing so the cable has to do a sharp 180 degree bend and sit in a funny angle - not too sure what can be done about that. I'm probably missing something obvious...

Did you just replace the solenoid or did you replace the solenoid AND valve? Just replacing the solenoid won't fix it. In all likelihood the problem was never the solenoid, just the valve.

Mini Vivaldi II S1 hot water spout

Post by Yuchen2011 »

Hello S1 community, I am trying to take apart the hot water spout in order to replace the o-rings but since this item does not have any flat areas to use a wrench on, I was wondering how people unscrew these spouts to replace the two o-rings. Second question is does anyone have experience taking apart the hot water valve (behind the solenoid) to descale it. Mine is from 2011 and has some scale marks on the outside. Thank you in advance! I am a new member here btw with a 2011 Mini Vivaldi 2 S1
