LED on time

Has anyone modified there Dream or Dream T so that the drip tray LEDs are on when the display is bright (ie your using the machine)? The auto setting only lights the LEDs during the shot pull. Having some before and after on time would really be nice but I don't want to leave them on all day long with the on setting, Any options here?
