Caffe Fresco Ambrosia Blend

Post by Zzyzx »

I know a few people here like to purchase micro roaster espresso, so I wanted to give a thumbs up to Caffe Fresco Ambrosia Blend.

This is my 3rd micro roaster blend since I purchased my VII in november and so far it's the best one yet. It's a full city roast and has a smooth, full ,non-bitter flavor. Very tasty

I have always stopped my home roasts just after the 2nd crack for a full city + roast, but this Caffe Fresco roast has inspired my to do a full city next time.

I wish I can hear the cracks with my iRoar2, the first one no prob if I stick my ear to it without burning it off. The second crack's a tough one, I rarely let it go into 2nd anyways but between the loud-ass roaster and my super duper sonic air hood, I can hardly hear anything...

BTW, this micro roast you're talking about...what's your brew temp?

That's what I thought...
Nice and bright huh? How would you describe the body?

The body is heavy. It looked like milk chocolate pouring out of the bottomless portafilter. I also made my best tasting cappuccino today with this coffee.

More then likely I would have never have tried this coffee since I mostly homeroast. I won a years worth of coffee from caffe fresco on homebarista.com. What a great find!
