Leavning machine on 24/7

i know some owners leave their machine on 24/7
i bought the vivaldi for this reason
but then i realized there is a lot of heat dissipated from the top of the machine if left on
besides, it only takes 5 min to warm up from off

any other good reasons to leave it on 24/7? i am still debating

any harm turning it on and off 3-4 times a day? scaling issues?

I do mostly shots so I am leaving the steam boiler off either way

the top is supposed to heat up so your cups stay warm and it takes about 20min. to 1/2 hour for the group and everything to become stabilized.

if your planing on making shots throughout the day, leave it on. i wouldn't recommend turning it on and off everytime you want a shot.

i thought i would leave mine on all the time too, but i never have. i usually turn it off when i'm done drinking coffee for the day. most days that is in the evening. some days i only feel like drinking coffee in the morning, then it gets turned off before noon. i basically figure if it's not going to be used in the next 10+ hours, there is no point in keeping it heated.
