I'm looking for a new knockbox to replace my Breville.
Anybody seen this new Cafelat Tubbi? Seems to match the Vivaldi sides nicely and is not too small lke the Grindstein either.

Re: Cafelat Tubbi
Paul gave me a break and sent me one of the new Cafelat Tubbi knockboxes. I must say, I really like it a lot!
The coolest thing is that the black matte textured finish is exactly the same as the Vivaldi side panels. You'd swear it actually came with the Vivaldi!
It's a little smaller than I thought, but still holds 15 pucks. It's a bit bigger than the Grindstein and the soft bar is removable (which is a plus for cleaning).
I also pick up a nice Cafelat tamping mat at the same time. It seems to be the same shape as the stainless grounds tray that comes with the Mazzer and provides you a nice surface to tamp on (and less polishing).
I must say I'm pretty happy with my little "grinding lab". It's a lot of gear to do basically the same job as a Vario......but it's so much cooler.
Unlike the Tubbi, the Gralab timer is a lot bigger than I thought.

Re: Cafelat Tubbi
Sweet is the word!
I was this close to emailing Paul about a tamping mat, & just decided I didn't need it right now. Nice setup! I think we have a similar scale...
Precision Digital Pocket Scale (100g Max / 0.01g Resolution) http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15002

Re: Cafelat Tubbi
Thanks Bob.
Actually, I have the same scale but the 1000g version (see below). I like to sometimes weigh the grounds in the PF. I also weigh beans for roasting. So 100g was too small for me.
