After a 5 to 10 sec steam bleed (boiler light blinks at 3 - 5 sec)
and allowing boiler to recover-
The boiler light comes on after 12-15 sec of steaming.
Pressure drops to .75
This started about a week ago
The S1 is 6 weeks old, running on 20 amps
Also, brew temp ALWAYS blinks while pulling a 25 sec shot
(even after pulling a blank shot)
????
Loss of steam capacity
I've talked to Chris's twice.
They have had no suggestions.
They said they would check their machine and get back to me.
They seem to act as if there isn't any problem!
I drained the boiler and that helped a bit for a few
cycles.
I checked and cleaned the steam tip.
It takes 40 sec to steam 8oz milk to 160 deg-
It used to take less than 16 sec
After hearing the boiler refill-
The boiler light comes on 10 to 14 sec after start of steam
(milk at less than 100 deg)
The boiler light comes on 4-6 sec after boiler recovery with out refill
Pressure drops to around .5 to .6
This is totally inadequate.
I wonder if any of your would report
your times from steam on to boiler light coming on,
and what your pressure drops is:
Thanks for any help
Robert

Another piece of the puzzle-
Sitting idle in my 74 deg kitchen:
The boiler light remains on for only
2 minutes 20 sec before blinking ( re-heating )
for 40 sec.
This is a continuous cycle.
Some good news!
I was dialing in a new grinder yesterday
and went throught a # of beans trying
for a "god shot".
The brew light problem is now much better!
I pulled multiple shots without the light coming on during
the pulls. ( some in excess of 30 sec. )
