Time Didn't Update to DST

I have the Time Update feature On and American Time selected, but the Dream did NOT switch to DST overnight. Did anyone actually have their machine work and automatically change the time?

Ah well, apparently parts of Arizona and Hawaii still do not have DST. Maybe La Spaziale couldn't figure out how to accomodate them. Until 2006, Indiana had parts that didn't recognize DST.

Unless the Dream II comes out with an integrated GPS chip  , it's up to the user to know if they live in an area with DST or not. If you do, you can opt to turn the Time Update feature On, otherwise Off. I am not sure which countries in Europe are included in the European mode. I am guessing any country that changes on the same dates they do in Italy is probably "supported". i.e. last Sunday in March and last Sunday in October.

Hopefully, CCS will find out fairly quickly whether the feature is broken or whether LS has the wrong dates programmed for the US. If the latter, I supposed we will wake perhaps in the next week or two and find that the time has jumped ahead.

Surely it's because they didn't have enough room to squeeze in North American!

I submitted a bug report to CCS. I suspect they will notice the same thing on the machine in their show room when they arrive at work tomorrow morning.

Yesterday I manually changed the time forward an hour on my machine since the automatic DST change didn't happen. Guess what? Today it was ahead by an hour. So apparently the LS software has the change occur a day late! Can anyone else confirm they saw the same thing happen on theirs?

My prediction is that the time will jump back a hour again this Sunday and then jump forward the following Sunday - which is the normal DST start date for most of the rest of the world that does the Daylight time thing. ;>

Chris tells me he is pretty fed up with the programming talents of the Italians and is trying to get LaSpaziale to give him the source code so he can have someone in his shop fix it up as is desired.

Holy, sh!tsky! Thanks for letting me know. I just checked and mine did, too. I give up. I guess I'll correct the time and then turn that automatic adjustment feature off in hopes that CCS gets this fixed by the end of October.

I promised myself a week ago, the last time the hour jumped ahead overnight, that I would shut off the auto feature and I didn't do it.

The time jumped forward an hour again last night for the first time in 7 days. I guess it's going to do that every Monday night until they fix the code. So this time I DID go turn off the auto-time adjust mode.

Chris copied me on along e-mail to Laspaziale he sent yesterday with next batch of requested fixes. It looks like he had everything from my list. It includes:

1) Fix DST issues
2) Add internal 10F HW offset
3) Shot timer extend to 10sec of display after shot and not block starting another shot during that time
4) Serial number not wiped out if you do a factory reset
5) Clarification and/or fix as to why PID values are so different than PID value ranges on other PIDed espresso machines.
6) Clarification about meaning of the Threshold A/B Setting. (It has something to do with sensitivity of steam boiler water level detector but no indication from LaSpaz as to which setting is more sensitive and when to use one vs. the other.)

There is one other thing he had on his list that is also on mine:

* Press and hold arrows to fast navigate through the factory menu items.
