Flashing Power Button on Dream T?

Hi,
First time owner of a new Dream T. I have the timer set to turn on/off each morning, but when the machine is "off" the power button flashes. Is this normal? Is it just indicating that its on "stand by mode"? I find it annoying, but I guess I'll just get used to it.

Oh and it came with a paper saying it was bench tested in Dec 2014 but the temperature offset was -10. I thought this is supposed to be zero as read on other posts, so I set it to 0.

Thanks

The flashing power button is normal. It seems to bother some people. So long as I don't move the machine into the bedroom, it doesn't bother me.

Changing the offset to 0 is the right thing to do.

Good to know. Thanks for the confirmation. I'm surprised how little information is out there on this model so far. I'm glad there is a dedicated site for these machines.

What are you looking for that you can't find?

I just setup my Dream T last night and I had the same question on the the flashing red power button so you're not alone. I wouldn't mind an always on/off option in the menu.

By using the blinking option the state of the power button can show all three possibilities:
1) Power Button Dark: Power Outage, machine unplugged, or circuit breaker tripped
2) Power Button Blinking: Unit is powered up but in Standby mode
3) Power Button Lit: Machine is On
