RESOLVED - water leak from brass thing on top of steam boiler - part name? need to replace?

Hi
UPDATE - called chris's coffee, They said this is not an issue as long as it seal once the stick pops up.
I opened up our machine to replace the heater element in the brew head.
When we turned it back on, I noticed brass piece (with a little stick that pokes up when the steam pressure is reached) spits out quite a bit of water. It seems odd to have a lot of water spitting out near the wiring.
Is this normal?
