Pump + more

Post by Chura »

Hi,

Few months ago I had leak on the inlet of the Steam boiler. And I've replaced the Elbow connector.
Related or not, 2 weeks ago I pressed the dose button, heard the solenoid open and no pump work. stop and tried again and everything working fine.
Yesterday, I tried to make coffee, and again no pump sound just line flow.
Opened the machine, and i saw leak again from the very same elbow connector, but what's worse is that the screw on the back of the pump was stuck.
I gave it a push and now the pump back in order.

Obviously it won't stick and I guess some maintenance required to the pump.

1. What should I do ? is it fixable or pump need to be replaced ?
2. I've replace the elbow with "replacement" elbow since I couldn't find any original.
Probable the pressure and heat won over the part I've placed there.
Where can I find that part ? (chriscoffee won't ship intl')

Wish I could help but I've never owned a MIni. 90% of the both the Mini and the Plumped machines are identical. Unfortunately, your issue is in an area where they differ. Can you order parts directly from the factory in Milan, Italy from where you are?

Whoops! Looks like they are in Bologna.

In that case...are you sure it is the pump that is sticking versus the motor. Have you removed the pump to ensure that the seals on the motor side of the pump aren't leaking water and causing mineral buildup between the pump and the motor along with potential front bearing damage to the motor?
