Hissing from the vacuum breaker - Dream

Hi folks,

I’ve searched and not found this covered. I have a 2014 Dream. Recently, the steam boiler was overfilling. The intake valve appears to have failed. I replaced it and that has stopped. However, I am noticing that I am getting a hissing / slight steam leak from the vacuum breaker. I took it part and cleaned it in Descal. However, I’ve gotten twisted up in putting it back and want to confirm I’ve done it correctly. There are only 4 parts. Does the skinny end of the piston point up when installed (ie Can you see it inside the brass nozzle from the top of the machine when installed? Am I correct that the wider edge of the teflon sleeve faces When installed?

Assuming I’ve put it back correctly, any idea why I’d have an intermittent dry steam leak from the vacuum breaker?

Thanks. From my verbiage, you can probably tell that I’m not the handiest espresso drinker out there! I appreciate your help.

I haven't had much luck cleaning mine. I usually end up buying a new one about once a year.
