Pump gauge starting at 7bar

Post by Bostonvivaldi »

Hi everyone,
Is there away to reset the pressure gauges? The pump gauge is dialing 7 bar even when the machine is turned off. When brewing it reaches the max pressure, which makes me think is just an offset. Any suggestions?
Thanks

The way to "reset" the pressure gauge is to buy a new one! What you're describing is the typical failure mode of the pressure gauges.

I should have mentioned one other important item. Even though this may not have been the cause of your gauge failure, the #1 cause is dropping or excess jarring of the gauge.

Since you don't know what the shipper has done with the gauge enroute to your house, always check that the new gauge is properly reading zero before you install it. If not, return it for a replacement as many times as it takes to get a good one.
