Have some parts on the way :)

What? More turmoil?

Maybe you can at least get rid of the teflon flakes.

According to my logs, the VII has well over 6,000 shots pulled on it
To add insult to injury, my RAID crashed a couple of months ago taking down 4 terabytes of info with it - last Monday night my main boot drive went south right before my eyes. The next morning, the VII sounded like a garbage disposal with a with a piece of shrapnel in it
All I can do is laugh at this point.
It only makes me stronger :blackeye:

Here's a segment showing the VII eviscerated with it's heart disconnected from the aorta
The noise you hear in this series is nothing compared to what greeted me a few days ago.

And of course after the pump was reconnected - the noise was completely gone! ...for a couple of days.
The machine continues to pour excellent shots throughout this experience

Hey: Why doesn't your needle jump all over the place?

It's not a Mini. The rotary pump models don't do that.

Niko:

In the first part of the video when the V2 was making all that racket, you had the pump disconnected from the motor, right? So doesn't that mean the noise is coming from the motor and not the pump?

This is probably not the problem but you might check that the motor mount bolts are tight. If they loosen up it makes a big impact on the noise.

Funny you mention that.
I thought of some of the past threads when we discussed motor mounts - I have another part of the video clip (not shown here) where I'm holding the motor down tightly while the machine whines and grinds away.
I think the noise pinpoints to a chattering valve.
A new one is on the way, If I get some time the install should go next Wed/Thu
