I completely forgot to change the water filter and softener. I've had them for about 2 years!
The first year, I took a baseline measurement of my tap water's hardness and it didn't even register on the strips. Every 4 months, I would retest, and even the last one barely colored the next color on the test strip. I guess this is how i forgot about changing them.
Anyways, I put in new ones and set a reminder on my calendar for once a year changing.
Should I be concerned about scaling of my boilers or anything else?

Re: Forgot to replace water filter and softener!
Only thing I'd be concerned with, more so than a scaled boiler, is your health. Filters carry some nasty bacteria, especially in the softener cartridge - that's why the carbon block filter follows the softener. That is why they usually put an expiration time for filters, it's always a good idea to replace once a year just for sanitary reasons.
