Cleaning Screens

I noticed I was getting black/brown specs in my flushing water so I dropped the screens for the first time. There was a nice collection of what I assume are grounds in the upper screen which I cleaned out. After pulling a few shots I dropped them again & had more up there. Is this typical? How often do you drop the screens & clean this stuff out?

Since I only get an impression from the center bolt in the top of my wet puck I wouldn't say I'm overfilling the basket.

Give them a Cafiza (or other detergent) bath once a week to get rid of the oils.
What you're experiencing is normal.
