Chris Coffee on Facebook

In case you haven't noticed yet, Chris Coffee is now on Facebook. To get there just click the Facebook icon on the left side of any webpage on the CC site. There isn't a lot there yet since it's barely a week or so old. But they do have pictures of the entire staff as well as photos of the new 63kg roaster that is just being installed to add to their current 31.5kg roaster. I had wondered what happened to tech Tony who used to answer all my tech support questions back in the early S1 days (now Jason or Tim usually answer them). Tony has moved over to the position of roastmaster.

When they get both up and running, the 31.5kg will be used for the smaller volume FTO and SO types of beans and the high volume more generic beans will be roast on the new roaster. They have a nice semi-automated set up which allows them to both bag whole beans or even grind and package those single volume sizes you find in hotel rooms. They're even nitrogen packed.

However, for now Chris is going to stick with selling the FTO/SO grades only to his corporate clients and stick with espresso blends for the 1-2lb bags he sells over the internet in order to not complete with some of the big players in that area who are also customers of his in other areas.
