As some of the new owners of S1 (or new baskets) have mentioned: It seems that the current basket size has gone to 53mm instead of 53.5mm.
I am having Les at Thortamper make me one @ 53mm and he questioned me as to why. After I told him what we've been talking about here; this is what he sent me:
Interesting, no?I talked to Chris at Chris' Coffee for over an hour about the S1 PF baskets. He measured over 70 baskets for me and they were all 53.5 at the top. Some tapered more than others. They have not changed their specs. He called the factory for me. They have 3 places that make their baskets. One of these places puts a bit more taper on the basket. You must have gotten one of those.
