Re: Mini trips my power circuit when the boiler comes on

Glad you got it figured out. A little advise… Before you take the fittings off the boiler mark the direction they are going on the old boiler. Then that will service as your guild while you transfer everything over. Also make sure you use plenty of plumbers tape as well.

Re: Mini trips my power circuit when the boiler comes on

It might be that your element has gone bad. I had a similar problem... It did not pop the breaker but it would trip the GFI and shut the mini off. If you have a ohm meter I can walk you through seeing if your element is bad.

Re: steaming and microfoam

I am having to start all over myself. I had just found the sweet spot when I switched to the Motta pitchers and the S5 steam arm(love them both). I am totally off my game now :|

Re: Naked Videos

I have been gone or check out for several months. :drunken: I could get better looking shots with my Astra but I prefer the taste of the Mini shots by far. So pretty is not always better.

Re: Leave on or Turn off

I was surprised they did not want to sell me one as well. When I called to order one I was still unsure if I would get my moneys worth out of it but I thought it would be a nice addition so as they talked me out of it I did not push the issue. They told me that the timer had to be programed with the...

Re: Mini owners! Need your help.

I timed mine today with no milk just the steam wand opened up all the way. It took just about 45 sec. to get to .5bar. I do have mine setup in 20 amp. but I don't think it should make the kind of difference we are seeing between yours and mine.

Re: My old S1 Finally Has Preinfusion

Niko, I have the mini but if there is no coffee in the basket you will not notice any change in the shot.

Now load that PF up and enjoy. Sound like you need it. :P

Re: Does pre-infusion change the shot length?

Yes I had to change the grind one notch (coarser) on the Super Jolly. I did have to change the shot length although I don't have a accurate measure of how much. I always just end the shot before blonding. MY wife on the other hand just lets it go

Re: Pre-infusion solution for the Mini

Chas, you are you are correct. I took another puck picture one at 3 sec. and one at 6 sec. The 3 sec. pull made it almost half way through. The 6 sec. almost made it all the way through the puck. Seeing that it did get the sides it is probably a dose and tamp problem on my end.

Re: Pre-infusion solution for the Mini

Ok I was able to spend some time this morning with the machine I pulled 15 shots. I want to start off saying that this is not the cure all to bad technique. In my previous post I may have made it sound that way. The wife and I just happened to pull some really good first shots. I did have some chann...

Re: Pre-infusion solution for the Mini

I have been chasing my local coffee shop's shot for a few months now and have not been able to duplicate the taste of there shots. I have came close but just as I thought I was there I could not duplicate it. Using the same temp, grind, and dose I just could not get it correct. The main deference wa...

Pre-infusion solution for the Mini

I received the solution for the Mini today and was able to install it to night. It was very easy and only took about 20 min. from start to finish. Seeing that it is so late I only pulled 4 shots and I did not taste any of them. The first pull was a blank shot. I could tell no difference in the press...

Re: Fluctuating manometer needle Problem

When I pull my shots it starts at 0. Like I said I just happened to see the needle fluctuating the other day and it has not happened again, but I did not have a lot of time this weekend. Now for your question on is the shot loose at the beginning I would say no but would need to see a video of what ...

Re: Fluctuating manometer needle Problem

Sorry I have not posted back soon but I have been waiting for my machine to reproduce the same actions as before and it has not. I was trying to think if I had done anything different and the only thing that I could come up with is it was the first time that I had turned my machine completely off an...

Re: Leave on or Turn off

Well I was going to get a timer but when I called back to Chris Coffee they talked me out of it. So I guess I will leave it on 24/7 and see what happens. Maybe it will go out just about the time the III comes out. Then the wife can not say no :D

Leave on or Turn off

I did a search and only found one topic that really did not give any info. First I just want to say thanks to everyone one this board. I took the long road to get here but I am finally here. I bought my first machine (Delonghi) for a Christmas present for my wife in 2007. I found out that I was now ...
