I'm at 6 seconds at that water pressure and I'm lovin' it. I guess it depends on the coffee used. We have the same grinder, it's my first "good" grinder. I like it so far; I haven't even tried to clean it yet, nor have I modified the hopper throat or the finger-guard inside the doser as I have read about, I'm just trying to learn to live with it at this point. It has a certain presence about it...

The grinder, those Cimbali Max Hybrids looks pretty great, it seems like a way to get into a good conical at a good price, but I'm also considering a Junior. The reports I read are that the doser works really well, clean, static-free, and the grind is what you'd expect from a grinder in that range....

I have no exp. with TCM but with practicing Tai-Chi & Chi Kung +drinking tea +cut down on meat; my wife and I did experience amazing results.(my wife is not easy be bought in till proven!)

Just friendly reminder:
- Bumber tamping stand is a must (4me) & looks very cool!
-Cimbali Max Hybrid has conical&flat burr makes huge differences in grind quality&consistency.

The single and double basket came with VII are the same in size but slightly bigger than the double one came with my naked pf.( based on Espro tamper used to measure the diameter!)

I got mine on Dec. 14, 2007. Its base shape most slightly curved like the picture Coffeeowl posted;with 16mm center kind of flat!
Glad Coffeeowl has the answer from Espro.
Haven't set up VII and grinder; besides this is my only one tamper so can't say anything about it!

Just learn you have Estro tampers, both Flat and Convex. How's your convex base feel like? SMOOTH???

Hello ALL, I've just got 53 Espro CONVEX tamper. Feel good in your hand; i really like the look and its weight. It has American curve. But you can feel and even see the sharp neddle point at the base center! Could be a chance for channeling? Is it the way it should be? If not, should i sand it off? ...
