Re: Steam Boiler Solenoid Fill Valve - Inlet Filter

Quick update. I installed the existing mesh filter pretty much as is (per the photo above), having soaked it in citric acid for a day. Upon installation the machine filled the boiler within about five seconds ... something I haven’t witnessed for a year or more. I’m happy for now, until the next iss...

Re: Steam Boiler Solenoid Fill Valve - Inlet Filter

Quick check of the parts manual on Chris Coffee shows I should install the washer first (part 1131), then the filter (2284), then attach the line.

Still hoping for input from others about that filter. Use it, soak it, replace it or don’t bother with it?

Re: Steam Boiler Solenoid Fill Valve - Inlet Filter

Also, I found a tiny copper washer on the table when I pulled the mesh filter out. Does it go on the valve side of the mesh filter, or on the line side of the filter?

Re: Another Boiler Issue

Hey Chas, thanks for the response. Not sure why I didn’t see it earlier. A couple of clarifications. 1) The boiler issue is new; the machine is seven years old. Bad wording on my part in the original message. I’m sure my boilers are a mess inside. 2) When I’ve seen the error situation, the pump defi...

Another Boiler Issue

Hey folks, maybe someone can provide some insight on my new Mini Vivaldi issue. My steam boiler pressure has become fairly anemic and it sputters quite a bit of hot water with the steam. A couple times it has caused the machine to shut down with only the boiler light blinking and everything else goe...

Removing steam wand elbow from boiler

Hey folks, first time poster - please go easy on me :) I recently noticed a hissing leak in my S1 mini where the elbow fitting (feeding the steam wand) threads into the head of the steam boiler. I can tighten the elbow fitting slightly but that ends up orienting the silicon hose directly towards the...
