Re: Lamps 20 and 21 alarm
Chas,
Got the new element and installed it. It worked! Heats up like normal and seems fine. BUT now there is constant dripping from the group head and also a constant small water stream from the valve in the back right corner of the drip tray where the backflush comes out. WTH?!

Re: Lamps 20 and 21 alarm
Fortunately, I already have the o ring because I descaled and replaced it when I was doing the temp probe replacement. Weird question: probably makes no difference either way but does it matter how far down the crimped tube I place the probe? Does it need to be all the way at the bottom or is it irr...

Re: Lamps 20 and 21 alarm
Thanks for the response, Chas! It read 120 volts the whole time. The resistance reading was jumping all over the place but was usually around .4 kilo-ohms. So does that mean the element is bad? When I took the boiler apart to replace the temp probe it looked fine. No obvious cracks or anything.

Lamps 20 and 21 alarm
I have a Vivaldi s1, about 12 or so years old. I am getting the steady lit 20 and 21 lamps. I ordered a new group temp probe and copper sleeve from Chris coffee and replaced them. I’m still getting the error. I plug the machine in and turn it on and the boiler and 93 lamps blink like it is heating u...

Re: Hiss from boiler pressure relief valve
I replaced the valve with one online for like $15. Works great now.

Extreme difference in boiler valve price. Why?
So I am trying to buy a new boiler pressure relief valve per chas’s advice in my previous post. Chris coffee has it for about $50, but this other site seems to have it for $15. Any ideas why? Should I avoid the other site for any reason? Here are the links: https://www.chriscoffee.com/Boiler-Pressur...

Re: Hiss from boiler pressure relief valve
Thanks for the reply! It seems to be coming out of that gap right at the tip of the arrow in the pic. Not from the Teflon taped joint at the entrance to the boiler, and not from the top. Side note: a couple of the ground wires attached are really corroded near the nut. Can I just cut off the corrode...

Hiss from boiler pressure relief valve
Hey guys, I have a Vivaldi II S1 that has worked great for about 10 years. Ive always left it on pretty much all the time. Over the last two weeks there has developed an audible hiss that occurs every one to two minutes. Not super loud, but definitely a new finding and annoying. Machine functions fi...
