Nice mod. I also have a mini and have problems with cold first shot.

I don't get the 3 lights when I backflush. Just run it 5-6 seconds and then turn it off.

Hi, I removed the shower screen and the big "disc" above, but I can't remember which direction it was mounted.

Is it the way I hold it in the picture, or the other way?

I also have the mini vivaldi 2, and getting inconsistent shots. I measure my double espressos, and with same bean/grind/dose it can vary 3-5 grams per shot.
