Re: Hot Water Tap Leak

Had this issue - really big drip. The hot water tap was all scaled up. Found the how to remove it plan at clive coffee.

How to Descale

It's a good afternoon's work but it I got it out, de-scaled it and put it all back together (without any extra parts!) and it works like a charm!

Temperature says 92 C but is 25 degrees low

I got a digital thermometer to test some stuff and decided to stick it in the hot water of La Spaz and see if it's right. IT CAME OUT ABOUT 172 degrees instead of 203! WHAT IS THE DEAL? How do I get it hotter? I'm completely flummoxed that I've been making coffee for two years with this thinking I h...

Re: Mini won't pump water...

These are some great great resources! Thanks so much!

Is there anything to be done with descaling when you've got the pump off? Is that something that I could do better with the pump off? Run some vinegar up into the boiler?

Re: Boiler Automatic refill system failure - can it fix itself?

I see that you are not familiar with elves that come out at night and repair your equipment. You can get them pretty cheap on ebay and sometimes locally sourced on Craigs List. ;-) I hadn't thought about the programming thing. I think the shot went too long and she shut herself off but I'll have to ...

Boiler Automatic refill system failure - can it fix itself?

Pulled a shot last night that ran really long. A minute - maybe longer. Not sure what happened. The shots weren't going that long before. At first I thought I'd over dosed and choked the machine but the shot kept going and going and the machine sounded weak. Finally got 2 ounces and turned off the f...

sticky water tank!

My sticky steam arm lever seems to have resolved itself but my water tank is misbehaving big time. CAN NOT PULL THE DRAWER OUT sometimes - I am tugging full strength and then finally it releases. And then, almost as if to spite me, once I've filled it it won't register as full. I have the drawer/tan...

sticky steam control

My steam controller - the lever steam valve control - has gotten harder and harder to pull. I think it just needs some lubrication in there. Any body done there, know what to use?

anybody figured out how to plumb their tank version Vivaldi?

Love love love my Mini Vivaldi but I do weary of pulling the tank out (which sometimes takes quite the tug!) and filling it back up. Anyone figured out a means to plumb it in? Maybe some kind of hose through the back and a "toilet style" flapper valve?

Re: americanos and water through the hot water tap

so I can pull six ounces and then wait till I hear the pump switch off? I'm sure as I brew the second Americano that everybody gets caught up.... that sounds very do-able.

americanos and water through the hot water tap

new to the mini vivaldi II and loving it! however, I have a question about Americanos. seems like I read in the manual not to pull too much water from the hot water tap because you can expose the heating element. I make two Americanos a morning - the wife and me - about 8 ounces of water for each. c...
